The Institutes of Economics and Management of the Sant’Anna School for Advanced Studies are planning an interdisciplinary cluster hire and a visiting faculty program focused on methodology and applications of contemporary “Big Data” analysis in the Social Sciences.

For the interdisciplinary cluster hire , we seek candidates at the associate professor level in Econometrics and Statistics , and candidates at the assistant professor level (tenure track) in Computer Science . Of particular interest are candidates in Econometrics with expertise in time series modeling and techniques for longitudinal Big Data; candidates in Statistics with expertise in the analysis of Big Data related to public health and health care systems evaluation; and candidates in Computer Science with expertise in Big Data management, massive computing techniques and large simulation models. For the visiting faculty program , we seek candidates at all levels, whose research focuses on Big data analysis in the Social Sciences. These individuals will spend periods ranging from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months at the School to pursue collaborative projects and offer special topics courses in our graduate programs.
